Na de overname van Twinsec GmbH in 2017 neemt Stepco nu ook Brainbridge IT Support Services over in België. Met deze overname geeft Stepco gestalte aan zijn groeiambities als euregionale speler op het gebied van cybersecurity en IT-oplossingen. Vanaf 1 november 2021 gaat Brainbridge IT Support Services verder als Stepco België.
Brainbridge overtuigd van strategische stap Stepco
Brainbridge is in 1998 opgericht en gespecialiseerd in het detacheren van IT en technisch personeel. Vanuit de hoofdvestiging in Antwerpen worden klanten bediend in Nederland, België en Duitsland. De afgelopen jaren heeft Brainbridge een enorme groei gekend in detachering. Hierop wil het bedrijf in de toekomst haar focus leggen. Brainbridge IT Support Services levert diensten op het gebied van IT-oplossingen aan KMO’s. Ten grondslag aan de verkoop van de bedrijfstak IT Support Services liggen de huidige uitdagingen binnen de IT- en securitybranche. Brainbridge gelooft in de strategische stap van Stepco en wordt gedeelde aandeelhouder van Stepco België.
Bundeling van kennis en expertise
Beide directies zijn blij met de overname. Bob Serneels, de tevens uit België afkomstige CEO van Stepco vertelt: “De belangrijkste reden voor de uitbreiding is dat we hiermee de ervaren medewerkers van Brainbridge IT Support Services kunnen toevoegen aan ons team in België. Het team kent de markt, spreekt dezelfde taal en staat dichter bij de klant. Stepco expands in Belgium with acquisition of Brainbridge IT Support Services
Following the acquisition of Twinsec GmbH in 2017, Stepco is now also acquiring Brainbridge IT Support Services in Belgium. This acquisition consolidates Stepco’s growth ambitions as a Euroregional player in cyber security and IT solutions. As of 1 November 2021, Brainbridge IT Support Services will continue as Stepco België.
Brainbridge confident of Stepco’s strategic move
Founded in 1998, Brainbridge specialises in the secondment of IT and technical staff. Its headquarters in Antwerp serve customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Brainbridge has experienced enormous growth in secondment in recent years, and this is what the company wants to focus on in the future. Brainbridge IT Support Services provides IT solutions to SMEs, and its sale was prompted by the current challenges facing the IT and security industry. Brainbridge is confident of Stepco’s strategic move and will become a shared shareholder of Stepco België.

Both management boards are happy with the acquisition.
